Can the Thule Omnistor 5200 be installed on a caravan?

Yes, the Thule Omnistor 5200 can be installed on caravans as well as motorhomes.

The awning is made to be more lightweight than previous awnings and is especially aerodynamically designed to work with your camper. The awning cassette is available in our online shop in either Anthracite or White.

We recommend the optional third support leg for this awning length for added stability.

The practical Quick-Lock system also allows easy handling and adjustment of the support feet to the correct height.

Can the Thule Omnistor 5200 be installed by one person?

While it is recommended to have two people install the Thule Omnistor 5200, it is possible to install it alone with some patience and care.

More about the 5200

The Thule Omnistor 5200 has a simple cloth roll setting for perfect closing of the awning on the opposite side of the gearbox, even after years of use. The Thule Omnistor comes standard with its own drainage system for rain.

The awning housing is made of robust profiles to ensure safety and reliability. The spring arms with integrated clamping arms ensure a perfectly tensioned awning fabric even with increased wind force. Standard from awning length of 4.00m, retrofittable for shorter awnings.

Thanks to the pitch system, the angle of attack can be set individually. The vehicle door can also be opened or closed when the awning is extended.

User-friendly system to help you set up and adjust the support legs to the right heights.

Quick Release Support Legs

The quick-release support legs are very easy to unlock and store. The support legs are dropped vertically from the awning lead rail to prevent damaging the vehicle wall. In case of rain, put one support leg slightly lower so the water can easily drain off.

Easy Cleaning

Equipped with its own drainage system in the front profile. This is convenient in case of rain, but also when cleaning the fabric once or twice a year with the Thule PVC Cleaner.

Perfect Fabric Tension

Sturdy spring arms with patented integrated tension arms ensure a perfectly tensioned awning fabric for increased wind resistance. The patented tension arms are standard integrated for awning lengths for 4.02m.
